This was what was awaiting the people when they got into The Oval Racing Experience 2009.

Staff on all the stands were ready to help and assist.

The Halls were packed with cars, exhibitors large and small covering everything from race promoters to model race cars, from associations and clubs to pictures, from constructors selling complete cars to stands selling videos, clothing and tools.

The new location of the show in Halls 9 and 10 proved very successful with easier access to the Autosport International Live Action Arena.

The dedicated Oval Racing Spectaculars were held in the Live Action Arena at 6pm on Saturday and 4.45 pm on Sunday at usual.  They featured for the first time at the NEC Oval Racing Legends and National Bangers with Figure of Eight Final, along with old favourites Autograss Class 7s, Hot Rods Brisca F1 and F2s.

The huge range of immaculate Autograss, Oval and Rallycross cars, many brand new and prepared for the 2009 season were creating a great deal of interest in the Halls together with the BriSCA Heritage F1 and F2s.

Spedeworth, Santa Pod, NASA, Brisca F1 and F2 stands were proving as popular as ever together.

There were many new exhibitors this year including Girlracer, with NASA’s very own Girlracer Micheala Bevans appearing the Live Action Arena and the RX Racing buggies that could be seen in the daytime Live Action Arena shows.

The British Radio Car Association’s full size circuit allowed the cars space to operate and attracted crowds of spectators over the two days.  

There was plenty of action on the Oval Racing stage with interviews from major exhibitors, celebrities plus awards, together with dancers Charlotte, Laura and Hayley  performing on the stage four times each day.  Our stage comperes were Dave Richardson and David Addison.
