The National Mini-Stox Club is the original MiniStox formula. It originated in the mid 1970s at Long Eaton stadium, the brainchild of promoter Keith Barber. The club is affiliated to The British Stock Car Promoters Association (BriSCA), and the British Stock Car Drivers Association (BSCDA). It promotes Stock Car Racing for boys And girls who are aged from 10 to 15 years old. The racing is based on Formula 1 and Formula 2 Stock cars, and is full contact (pushing in the direction of racing). Many of the top drivers in both Formula 1 And Formula 2 began their careers in the National Mini-Stox Club. The cars are strengthened and modified Minis. The engines are restricted to 1000cc with some slight modification.
