The brand new car of 2009 BriSCA F2 National Points Champion Chris Bradbury will be on the stand in hall 10.

Pete Randall has sent us the following driver profiles of cars racing at the NEC.

38 David Polley – Cambridge

Dave is one of the most prolific attenders in F2 travelling far and wide in search of a race. Son of the legendary National Hot Rod star George, the racing pedigree was always there right from the start. Has yet to win a really big championship in F2 but the day when he does cannot be far away.

152 Mick Sworder – Eaton Socon

Mick is one of the hardest drivers in the sport and certainly shifts anything in his path with that demon front bumper of his. He won the World Championship at Arena Essex in 2007 and has won quite a few other titles in his career and he is the current holder of the British title, this is shown by the back and white chequered wing on his car.

186 George Turiccki – Kettering

George is so much a regular star man nowadays it is easy to forget that George is still only 17 years of age. He won the Novice of the Year title in 2007 despite only starting racing in June of that year. He recently took his first feature race win from the back of the grid and he is looking odds-on to be one of the top drivers in the sport for many years to come.

324 James Thackra – Huddersfield

One of the most consistent drivers of the past few years is James, he has yet to take the gold roof but does have a couple of British Championships under his belt. He excels on certain tracks such as Barford or Buxton, primarily a tarmac racer but he can race with the best on shale if required.

393 Chris Cuming - Cornwall

Chris has raced a reduced season in 2008 due to other commitments but that did not stop him from winning the Nationals title at Taunton in mid season. He has matured into a top driver in the last couple of seasons and he must be looking to build on this in 2009.

401 Barry Goldin – Bolton

Barry was one of the most prolific point scorers in F2 history in the early part of this decade, he won the points championship three years in succession from 2000 to 2002, since then he has raced a little less but is still a big winner on the tracks and is always on the shortlist of potential winners of any race he is in. You name it, he has probably won it at least once including the world title at Taunton in 2003.

647 Chris Burgoyne – Airth

In 2002 Chris became the youngest ever F2 World Champion when he captured the title at his home track of Cowdenbeath. His form dipped a little in the next couple of years after that early high but has bounced back in the last two or three years to once again become one of the top drivers in the sport. He builds his own cars and also builds quite a few for other drivers as well.

667 Tim Farrell – Plymouth

Tim has been racing F2 Stockcars since the early 90’s and since very early on in his career has been one of the top drivers in the sport. He is currently campaigning a Batten built chassis on the tarmac tracks and a Finnikin built car on the loose surfaces. He has not won the amount of major titles that a driver of his ability should, but he did win the British Championship at Bristol in 2006.

886 Chris Bradbury – Winnersh

Quite simply the driver of 2008, he signalled his intentions early on in 2008 with a string of wins attached to a willingness to travel far and wide on any day of the week where a meeting was on. He won the UK Championship at Skegness in mid season and also the Grand National Championship at Barford, this was all crowned by being the current holder of the silver roof as the National Points Champion.

888 Paul Ford - Scotland

One of the new breed of superstar graded drivers, Paul has raced for a couple of years but really came of age this year making superstar grade for the first time. He managed to hold this new status comfortably and he will be looking to build on his excellent 2008 performances in 2009.

…and to be confirmed

H19 Jelle Kurtsjens – Holland

Jelle is almost one of ‘ours’ really, he spends so much time over here with his enormous H19 artic transporter. The performances are also pretty good as we saw at Bristol for the F2 World Final when he qualified fastest of all of the overseas competitors.

702 Allen Cooper - Huntingdon

Allen is one of the top shale racers around and on his day knows the quick way round on the hard stuff as well. He is a consistent star grader and has in the past been in the superstar grade, and he has also won the prestigious World of Shale title at Sheffield a few years ago. Like near neighbour Andrew Palmer he drives one of the smartest cars to be seen on the raceways.
