Providing the action in 2009 will be Dan Johnson (4) the reigning European champion whose 2008 season was plagued with bad luck. His win in the European is likely to be the first of many majors titles Matt Newson (16) one of the many under25 year olds that have really come to prominence in the last few years. Matt is a driver that gives his all every time he is behind the wheel of his car Will Yarrow (22) an all action driver who knows no fear, Will is never happier than when his foot is hard down on the loud pedal Peter Falding, Still the youngest driver to win the f1 world title when he won back in 1986. in 2008 Falding competed in his last full year of racing, but don’t be surprised to see the Rotherham ace makes a few appearances in 2009. Tony Smith (91) the Iron man, tony competed in 57s meeting in 2008 and when you consider the schedule goes as far north as Knockhill, down to the south west at Bristol and over in the east coast at Ipswich, that is no mean feat. Danny Wainman (212) in his first year of racing Danny quickly made it all the way to the red grade which he held onto for the remainder of the year. His drives towards the end of the season were one of a seasoned driver, which shows how well this 17 year old handled the awesome power of the f1s Paul Hines (259) Ever the showman, watch for Paul to put on a spectacular display around the oval. Although he has been known to be more of a tarmac driver in recent years, his two final wins on shale in 2008 confirmed him as one of the top drivers in the sport Ed Neachell (321) Winner of the World Masters at Northampton, Ed is always in the thick of the action and always one to keep an eye on James Neachell (322) the elder of the Neachell brothers, Former European champion picked a final win in 2008 in his always immaculately prepared machine Dave Willis (337) Visitors to the NEC in 2008 would have seen Dave’s new car on display at the Brisca F1 stand, technical issues kept it off the tracks until late in the season Ivan Pritchard (434) another of the showman, watch for Ivan to perform some of his patented tyre smoking 4 wheel drifts which really demonstrate the power of the 7000+cc machines. To find more about Brisca F1s and where they will be in 2009, make sure you visit Stand No. 10160 in The Oval Racing Experience in Hall 10. Information and pictures supplied by Colin Casserley
